It’s official: Daily 150 years old

TOMORROW your very own Warwick Daily News "officially" turns 150 years old.

Our Saturday edition will contain a special feature showcasing our role in - and our contribution to - the Warwick community and surrounding districts.

And some of the facts and figures will surprise you.

All of us here at the Daily are proud of our long tradition of service to the region, not only through delivering our readers the latest news, but also through our support of community groups and events.

We're also proud of our record of fighting hard for our community, evidenced by our campaigns around roads and transport, water supply, health services, drought aid and many other causes.

While we may be one of the smallest daily newspapers in the country, we believe we punch well above our weight when it comes to standing up for the Warwick region.

Technology has changed dramatically over the years and while we now fully embrace the online digital "space" we are certain that the print newspaper product has a healthy future.

Pick up a copy of tomorrow's Daily News to read more - and if you haven't yet got hold of our 64-page commemorative history book they're available from our Albion St office for just $7.95.
