Jack Alldridge, a man with a heart of gold

I WOULD just like to take this opportunity to thank the community and the Daily News for their beautiful words and thoughts for our father John "Jack" Alldridge who was tragically taken from us on Sunday evening.

Myself and my brothers Ashley and Raymond appreciate everything we have read and the messages we have received the past couple of days.

Dad was a loving father who would do anything for his sons, grandchildren and great grand children. He is going to missed greatly by us and by the community.

I know his brothers Ron, George and Kevin will miss him helping out on George's farm and having a cuppa tea in the shed afterwards. His sisters Patricia and Mary will also miss their time together.

His daughter in laws Julie and April will miss their silly little arguments with him over all the little things that didn't even matter, but in their own little way mattered to him.

He had a heart of gold and always saw the good in people. His cousin Johnny Croke said to me he never heard him say anything bad about anyone. Him and his wife June will miss his little visits for a chat and a cuppa on his way to and from town.

RIP Dad the world is a better place to have had you in it. We miss and love you.

Arnold Alldridge
