Jack Frost is a knocking
A FROSTY morning yesterday signified winter at Warwick's doorstep.
"We got a ridge extending through much of the state," meteorologist Chris Joseph said.
"Combined with cool and dry winds through a large part of the state, we're seeing pretty cold temperatures right across south-east Queensland."
Warwick recorded a low of 3 degrees on Sunday night, dropping below the May average of 6.7 degrees.
But Kingaroy had the coldest night, dipping down to 1.7 degrees, well below the 7 degree average.
"It will probably get much colder in the coming nights, possibly dropping below zero," Mr Joseph said. "By the weekend, temperatures should settle back to average."
