Ipswich Motorway open after Riverview truck crash

LATEST: Police Media report that all lanes on the Ipswich Motorway from Riverview are open after yesterday's traffic incident.

Road repairs were carried out overnight after a truck lost its load yesterday afternoon.

7PM: A B-Double overturned on the Ipswich Motorway on-ramp at Dinmore on Tuesday - causing traffic chaos into the  evening.

Traffic was brought to a standstill when all three east-bound lanes were closed after the trailer flipped, damaging the road, at 2.40pm.

The driver escaped the crash uninjured and police remained at the scene investigating the cause of the accident into the evening.

Police started to let traffic on to the motorway at 3.10pm. Traffic was diverted through Redbank Plains Rd, Aberdare Rd and River Rd.

But the motorway had still not been cleared at 7.45pm.

The overturned trailer was empty and it was yet to be determined if it had come into contact with the Warrego Highway overpass.
