Jeff Miller qualifies for finals in roping

RODEO: Warwick roper Jeff Miller has finished second in team roping at the Amber Ranch Rodeo at Bundaberg to secure 14th spot in the run up to the Warwick Rodeo APRA National Finals on October 26-29.

Jeff combined with his son Kobe to come second behind fellow Warwick cowboy Brock Eastwell and Emerald rider Kacey Kenny in Bundaberg. Kobe is 16th in team roping heeler standings so needs one rider to withdraw to be in the top 15 at the finals.

Brock Eastwell was fourth in the rope and tie at Bundaberg in the last event on the pro tour. He won't make the finals from 22nd place but his brother Mitch is 17th and a chance to be called up. Last year, Mitch won one round of the finals in Warwick. Their brother Wade finished 33rd in rope and tie.

Michael Maher, from Warwick, is fourth in saddle bronc standings and Lane Grayson 16th while former Gore rider Fred Osman finished third in bareback.
