Pair of Jordans line up for Coulter Shield

TWO players of the same name will line up for Warwick in the under-15 Coulter Shield competition at Queens Park on Sunday.

Jordan Eastwell from Warwick and Jordan Eastwell from Wheatvale are both in the team.

The boys don't expect any problems with the names on field.

"They call me Jordy," Jordan from Wheatvale said.

"This is my first Coulter Shield as I am only in my first season of hockey.

"I play in the halves for Saints in the men's hockey competition."

Jordan from Warwick isn't really worried in which position coach Phil Rolfe uses him, provided he is somewhere in the forwards.

Matt Eastwell, a first cousin of Jordan from Warwick, usually plays centre-half and doesn't expect a move on Sunday.

Eleven teams will play in Warwick in the first round of the shield.

Teams will be split into two divisions for this round and another in a fortnight at Murwillumbah.

The Warwick under-13 girls side has an away round of the Southern Cross competition on Sunday.
