Pony Club members jump for glory

MEMBERS of the Cunningham Pony Club held a rally day on Easter Monday to prepare riders for the annual gymkhana to be held on April 18

The club is expecting 100 riders in all age groups to compete in rider classes that include stockman’s challenge and bareback events, eight timed sporting events including the pony twist, the Cunningham canter and jumping. At the West Toowoomba Gymkhana the club competed with seven riders.

Lachlan McMahon improved his times to win four ribbons.

Sophia Foster was second in the 11 years.

Joe McMahon on a new mount “Bangles” competed in a combined age group.

Madeline Burton had 13 competitors in her age group (12 years) and did well to finish second. Sam Burton won the time trial . Hayden and Tyler Aspinall were third and second in their groups.
