Clowning around for festival

RED noses and afros are the new look for Warwick kids this July as the Jumpers and Jazz festival takes on a new flavour.

Circus and theatre performance workshops will run during the course of the event and Warwick Tourism and Events CEO Tracy Vellacott said they were to show what talent already existed and what can be developed among our local kids.

"We could have potential Cirque du Soleil stars in our midst!" Mrs Vellacott said.

Scott Kuhn of Jugglewiz Circus Training School, who will take the circus element, said there was more to circus tricks than met the eye and brain development could benefit greatly from learning circus tricks.

The circus workshop is on Friday July 26 from 4-7pm at the Warwick Town Hall and the theatre workshop is on July 27, 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. Cost is $35.
