Junior sports awards tickets on sale at Daily News

SPORTS AWARDS: Tickets are on sale at The Daily News front counter for the 25th annual Daily News/Warwick Credit Union Junior Sports Star of the Year dinner at the Hawker Rd Function Centre on March 19.

Warwick Credit Union CEO Lewis von Stieglitz will present the $500 winner's cheque and a trophy to the overall winner.

Condamine Sports Club president Ross Bell and Jacqui Bodimeade will present the $250 cheque and trophy to the Doc Bodimeade Memorial Encouragement Award winner. A presentation will be made to each of the 12 monthly winners on the night.

Some additional nominations have been made for the Condamine Sports Club Volunteer of the Year awards. Nominations needed as soon as possible to gerardw@warwickdaily

news.com.au or call 46601313. The club of the volunteer of the year receives a cheque for $500 from the Condamine Sports Club.

The Daily News and Warwick Credit Union invite all monthly winners during the past 25 years to the dinner. While many winners have moved away for college, work or to follow sporting careers, many still live in the area.

Tickets available at The Daily News, 50 Albion St, during normal business hours. Cost is adults $30, high school students $26 and under 12 $10.

Those attending are advised to buy tickets as soon as possible as ticket numbers are limited.
