Kaitlyn comes up trumps in battle for Stan Bain trophy

FOOTBALL: Kaitlyn Newley has won the Stan Bain Memorial trophy for girl's player of the year in the Warwick District Football Association.

The award was being presented for a second time in memory of long-time Warwick Wolves volunteer and player Stan Bain.

Brendan Ryan was coach of runners-up Foodworks and won the volunteer of the year award for his contribution as a coach and his work on the grounds at Queens Park during the season.

Thomas Jeffcoat was men's player of the year and Bruce Greenaway was made a life member of Warwick football.
