Keogh eyes off a Saturday rodeo

SPRING Creek rodeo promoter Scott Keogh is organising his last rodeo for the year at the Pittsworth Showgrounds tomorrow.

There will be an open bull ride, junior steer and poddy rides, a pony bareback ride, celebrity bullock ride, women's bullock ride and mule ride.

The rodeo is being organised under the banner of Rodeo Services Administration.

All junior nominations on the day before 5pm. Keogh is accepting nominations from open bull riders.

Gill Brothers from Upper Horton in New South Wales will be providing the stock for the rodeo.

The first events will be a stock horse sprint race at 4pm with nominations to the show committee.

The rodeo will start at 6pm.

Money raised will go to Pittsworth sports clubs.

Ben Palmer (Toowoomba), Jackson Gill (Upper Horton) and National High School champion Jack Whalen will all be in the open bull ride.

Keogh, a former top saddle bronc rider in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association in America, has promoted rodeos at Allora, Clifton, Goondiwindi, Warwick and Pittsworth this year. Open nominations to Keogh on 0400 734 990.
