Kernaghan will be another big act for MECC

MACKAY country music fans will be pleased to know Aussie favourite Lee Kernaghan will perform at the MECC in August.

He'll be taking his new album on the road this year, featuring new songs from Beautiful Noise.

The singing sensation has won 28 Golden Guitars, sold two million albums and three ARIA Awards.

Lucky Mackay fans will be able to attend the concert on a Saturday night which is another plus, MECC manager Mark Fawcett said.

He said Kernaghan will be touring the country for 18 months on the Beautiful Noise tour.

Fans shouldn't fear as Kernaghan will be performing his old classics Boys From The Bush, Hat Town and The Way It Is.

He last performed in Mackay in April 2010 with Tania Kernaghan, Jasmine Rae and Markus Meier for his Planet Country at the MECC.

Special guests for the tour are The Wolfe Brothers, who hail from Hobart, Tasmania and burst onto the scene in 2012 when the nation voted them into the grand final of Australia's Got Talent.

The concert will be held at 8pm on August 3. Tickets can be purchased from the MECC box office by phoning 4961 9777 or visit mackaytix.com.au.
