Kids hit the disco for fun

MOST kids would think getting into your pyjamas to keep warm on a winter's Friday night would make for a pretty dull evening.

However, the Queensland Blue Light Association Stanthorpe branch Blue Light Disco will be anything but boring.

To get over those winter chills and get your feet dancing, Stanthorpe police invite all under-18s to go along and enjoy a fun and safe night out.

DJ Coco will be hitting the decks once again with the music supplied by Stanthorpe Jukebox Hire, with lucky door prizes, best-dressed competitions, face painting, balloon making and much more included in the ticket price.

A canteen and sausage sizzle will also be running at the junior disco, costing just $2 a sausage and bread.

As always, Blue Light discos are an alcohol and drug-free event, and student identification cards or a driver's or learner's permit will be required for entry.

For more information or any other inquiries, please call Stanthorpe Police Station on 4681 6400.

Where: Stanthorpe Civic Centre

When: Tonight, prep to year six from 6-8pm and seniors from 8.30-10.30pm

Cost: $5 entry; sausage on bread for $2
