Kids warm to sunny days

WARWICK parents can rest assure their children won’t be locked inside these holidays due to cold, wet weather, with warmer days expected for the later half of the week.

The cold, dreary weather seen in the region over the past few days is mostly set to clear after today, but a short-lived shower or two may present over the next few days.

Rose City residents can expect more chilly nights and early mornings throughout the rest of the week, with temperatures dropping to the early teens before rising to around 23 degrees during the days.

Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Gordon Banks said the flooding that is being seen in areas such as Roma was unlikely to have any effect over the region.

“I believe there has been more than 100mm fall between Roma and Emerald but it doesn’t look like it is going to have much impact on your end of the world,” Mr Banks said.

“It should be nice autumn weather for the rest of the week in Warwick.

“(Tomorrow) should be mostly fine, with the chance of a shower and at this stage Friday looks like it will be fine weather with possible showers.”

On Saturday the mercury is expected to drop to a minimum of 11 degrees before rising back up to a warm 24 degrees during the day.
