Kidzone ups the fun factor under new management
KIDZONE has reopened under new management after it was closed for two months late last year.
Sandra Dawson, a former childcare centre director and co-owner of French Bakehouse, took over the privately-owned business and has already revamped the place.
"When the opportunity came up to reopen the play centre I jumped at it, and it meant I would be back working with children and parents once again," Mrs Dawson said.
Kidzone is an indoor play centre with challenging equipment for children to explore their abilities and have fun.
"We've also built a new ball pit, made a bigger toddler area, added a jumping castle, with full cafe facilities," Mrs Dawson said.
She reopened the centre on December 13 last year in time for the school holidays and is already receiving positive responses.
"We are finding our birthday parties to be a huge hit and we are booked out every Saturday and Sunday for the next three months," she said.
"Kidzone is the only facility of its kind in Hervey Bay and is very popular with both parents and children.
"We find parents like to come and relax with a coffee and a magazine whilst their children play in a safe environment.
"We also have parent and toddler craft mornings every Tuesday and Thursday for $5 per child, which includes all materials."
Kidzone, at 79 Islander Rd in Pialba, is open every Monday to Saturday from 9am-4pm and Sundays from 10am-4pm.
