Killarney brings on the polo

POLOCROSSE players from the Gold Coast Polocrosse Club will descend on Killarney this weekend for the Gold Racquet Carnival.

Games will be played both tomorrow and Sunday. The competition will be a mix of open, mixed comp capped 15 points per team, junior and mini-juniors depending on numbers.

There will be prizes for best horse and rider in each grade. For those who wish to head along and watch play will start at 8.30am tomorrow and 8am on Sunday.

Player entry is $20, spectators are $10 and juniors are also $10.

There will be a sausage sizzle for a gold coin donation tonight at the grounds on Willow St.

Tomorrow night there will be dinner and entertainment, meals can be prepaid at entry. Meals for adults are $15 and $10 for kids.

There will be a full canteen and bar facilities open all weekend. All of these will be served at the Polocross Club House.
