Killarney police find weapons during a traffic stop

POLICE alleged they found restricted weapons in a man's car after he was pulled over during a traffic stop on the Killarney-Warwick Rd at about 9.40pm on Friday.

Sergeant Brad Doyle alleged the 41-year-old Bellbird Park man was in possession of a crossbow and a set of nun-chucks.

It is alleged the man was also driving with a disqualified licence.

The man was charged with a traffic offence, along with unlawful possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a restricted item.

Police issued the man with a notice to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court on February 27.
