Kimmince nails wickets to help continue Ashes winning streak
CRICKET: Australian bowler Delissa Kimmince took a wicket in each match as her team scored two T20 wins against England at the weekend.
The first of the wins meant Australia won the series as well as the Ashes.
Players in the Ashes compete in three one-day matches, three T20s and one Test match.
After a draw in the Test, Australia was able to retain the Ashes but clearly the team wanted a series win.
In the first of the two weekend games, Australian captain Meg Lanning hit a T20 record 133 not out in the Australian score of 3-226.
Australia restricted England to 9-133 with Kimmince taking 1-25 off four overs, the second most economical spell for the Southern Stars.
In the Sunday game, England batted first and scored 8-121, Kimmince taking 1-21 to be the second most economical bowler.
Australia has five wins, three in 50-over a side games, two in T20 and a Test match draw so far in the Ashes with one T20 game to go.
Kimmince has played in all five wins, including career best five wickets in an innings in the 50-over part of the series.
The Australian women's team has been compared to some of the best in any sport during a tour of England.
The final game to maintain an unbeaten record will be on Thursday.
