Kingston wins on 41 points at sporters golf day

LAST Wednesday, 41 members and visitors dragged themselves away from the fridge and esky to teeoff in the Hawker Road Function Centre trophy for December.
Winner on the day, fresh from competing on the Thailand golfing circuit, was Ross Kingston on 41 points from runner-up Mal Galloway on 39 points.
Ball rundown: Daffy Hynes 38, Doug Rickert 37, Wayne Watt 37, Ken Burley 37 and Eddie Big Cods 36.
NTPs: Ian Stewart on 5th, Mort Henderson on 7th, Greg Wallace on 9 and 16th, pro pin on 11th: Dan Nevin 4, Doug Rickert 2, Rick Mills and visitor Ross Groomsbridge 1 each, pro pin on 13th: Mal Galloway 4, Ron Simon 2, R. Groomsbridge, Mike Hoskin and The Loin King 1 ball each.
This Wednesday, we play in the Warwick Hotel trophy followed next week by the Danny Lyons Sports trophy.
Members are reminded that we now only have eight games left to qualify for the Sporters Shootout competition, with the final qualifying game being on February 28.
