Kraak makes ranking after NSW effort

RACHEL Kraak has been selected as a part of the Girls' All Tournament Team following a superb individual performance at the recent 2014 International Friendship Series in Blacktown, NSW on June 27-July 4.

Kraak is joined in the 10-athlete All Tournament Team by five other fellow Queenslanders, representing the Queensland Blaze Women's development side which finished in overall 4th position.

The International Friendship Series provides Australian Youth Squads development opportunities and experience in an intense high-performance environment.

It is also used to assist with talent identification for aspiring national athletes of the future as well as providing a foundation for skill development.

The tournament also provides development opportunities for aspiring coaches, umpires, statisticians and team managers.

Dylan Sheehan (Toowoomba) was selected as a member of the Boys' All Tournament Team

Normally a Queensland representative, Sheehan represented an Australian team at this event and competed against his regular Queensland teammates who were in the Queensland Lightning Men's Development team; a side which claimed overall 6th place in the tournament.

Sheehan's standout individual performances were additionally recognised by persentation of the awards for best pitcher.
