Ladies step up the footy day style

WITH the season coming to an end, the club in its wisdom has decided to have a ladies' day.

The volunteer crew of ladies has had a long season and it's time for them to kick back for a day.

The date of this fete of the femme fatale is this Saturday, August 11 at Roddies Oval and it will begin at 11am and continue right throughout the day.

As the football club genuinely cannot operate on game day without the great work put in by the ladies, it would struggle to get through the fundraising and social events and the general back up required for any club to run smoothly.

All ladies are invited to come and have some champagne and chicken and get to know more people within this family club known as the Warwick Credit Union Redbacks.

For the day to run successfully, the club will require the assistance of more of the macho breed of guys who are prepared to put on an apron and cook a snag or serve some drinks and salad rolls.

It will be a fun day and we can all help the mighty WCU Redbacks go out on a winning note against Goondiwindi's seniors and juniors.

To know more about the day and to put up your hand to assist (guys that is) please contact Mick Lawlor after hours on 4667 3133.
