Laidley singer in knock-out stage of The Voice Sunday night

SMOOTH singing Judah Kelly returns to The Voice stage tomorrow night - this time for his bout in the show's knock-out round.

The Laidley singer will line up against two other artists from #teamDelta as groups of three take to the stage at one time, performing a solo with a chosen theme.

There will be only one winner, but those who don't make it to the next round could get a reprieve if they're "stolen" by one of the other three coaches.

The former Mackay performer had a great blind audition after three of the four Voice judges - Delta Goodrem, Seal and Boy George - spun their chairs almost simultaneously and Kelly Rowland wasn't far behind.

This left Judah, 20, with the difficult decision of who to choose as his mentor.

"I chose Delta because she was funny," he admitted.

"Going in I thought if they all turned around, that I would go for Seal."

But that all changed once the judges started pitching for Judah to chose them.

"All four are there for a reason but I just thought Delta was funny and I could relate to her on a personal level," Mr Kelly explained.

He said the Blind Auditions had been an important factor in trying out for The Voice.

"For me it was to sing without being judged on appearance," Mr Kelly said.

"Ninety-nine per cent of the time people make a judgment on the way you look."

Used to performing in front of a crowd, Judah wasn't nervous to hit the stage. "It's actually a bit of a blur," he said.

Watch Judah perform tomorrow at 7pm on Channel 9.
