Last of Rose City stores filling fast
WITH all building complete in the $40million redevelopment of Rose City Shoppingworld, shoppers are just playing a waiting game now to see who will fill the last remaining spots in the centre.
Marketing manager Louise de Lissa said several stores were in the process of fitting out at the moment.
"Southern Downs Skin and Laser Clinic, Cafe Roze and North Home Decor are both getting their sites ready to move in to,” she said.
"Unfortunately the previous tenant we had lined up to fill the newsagency space next to Donut King was not able to proceed so our leasing executives are working hard to find someone to take that store on.
"It's all finished and ready, it's just a matter of finding someone to come to Warwick and move in. We understand how important a newsagency will be to our shoppers so we're doing all we can to bring one.”
Southern Downs Skin and Laser Clinic owner Jeanna Scarlett said her team was busting to move in and that would happen in a few weeks once the fitout was complete.
Belle Vue Cafe owners Mark and Rosie Favero confirmed their Pickle & Must Delicatessen would move into the centre between The Bread Factory and Go Vita.
"At this point we're waiting for everything to be signed off and are looking to hopefully be ready to open in August,” Mr Favero said.
This week only, Lorna Jane's On The Move pop up shop has taken over the vacant space between EB Games and Discount Drug Store.
Manager Louise Rose said she was excited to be in town.
"The idea behind our pop up store is to take Lorna Jane to the people who don't have access to our brand.
"You don't have to be a gym junkie to wear our gear. If you're on a mission or want to make some changes, then we're here to help motivate you and get you on the right path in some great gear.”
Every day this week on the Rose City Shoppingworld Facebook page, a $25 Lorna Jane gift voucher will be up for grabs.
Mrs de Lissa said Go Vita and Magic Care Massage had recently opened and had some great specials to celebrate.
"Honeydew Coffee is also opening, hopefully on June 21 ,” she said. "As well as that, Big W are also adding a line of self-serve checkouts. Work has begun on those over the last couple of days.”
