Last quarter comeback seals victory in Warwick netball

NETBALL: Thunder scored a narrow victory against Confro in Warwick A-grade netball at WIRAC this week.

The A and B-grade games are on Monday nights with C and D grades playing each Tuesday night.

After trailing 10-9, 19-17 and 33-24 at the three breaks, Thunder won the last quarter 18-6 to win 42-39.

Ashleigh McLean, Sophie Waples and Bella Newton played well in centre court for Thunder while Teigan Roberts defended beautifully.

On the Confro side of the court, Sophie Otten and Kaitlin Thorne shot and worked together well in the circle.

Lillie Clarke had a strong game in centre court for Confro.

Warwick junior netball is currently being played at the Scots PGC College but will return to Barnes Park once new courts at constructed at Barnes Park in Glennie Heights.
