Laura nets Diamond days
ALLORA netballer Laura Geitz has had a great tour of the UK with the Australian Diamonds netball squad.
The Diamonds defeated Scotland, winning both tests against the Scots.
They then went on to win two of the three tests against Australia’s archenemy in everything sporting, England.
The final test, held in London, was a close affair with a final score of 45 to 43.
The girls didn’t get much of a chance to rest up though, with only two days between test matches. Laura played in her trademark goal keeper role during most of the matches, with a couple of quarters played at goal defence against Scotland.
All up a very successful tour for the Diamonds. Next major netball competition will be the ANZ Championships, with the Queensland Firebirds having their first round match against the NSW Swifts at the Gold Coast on Sunday, March 21.
