Laura re-signs for the Firebirds
ALLORA goalkeeper Laura Geitz will return to the Mission Queensland Firebirds for the 2012 season.
The proud Queenslander has a strong history with the Firebirds and said she wouldn’t dream of signing anywhere else, especially after the Firebirds’ stellar season.
“I am delighted to be returning to the Firebirds for what I hope will be another very successful year for the team,” Geitz said.
After her recent success at the Mission Foods World Netball Championships, Geitz has cemented her status as one of Australia’s top defenders.
The 2011 Firebirds Players’ Player and Holden Player of the Year helped lead the Firebirds to their 2011 ANZ Championship premiership victory as vice-captain, stepping up on court after captain Lauren Nourse suffered a season-ending injury.
