Lauren Eastwell scores a rare five goals in Warwick club hockey

HOCKEY: Lauren Eastwell scored five goals to lead the way for Corinthians/Wyverns in Warwick ladies hockey on Saturday.

Corinthians/Wyverns won 7-4 against Harlequins in a game where Emma Thompson and Nerida Eastwell had strong games in defence.

In the other ladies game, Saints beat Harlequins 4-2. Nat Webb scored a double for Saints.

Shanae King was outstanding in defence for Saints with Rosie Corney defending well for Harlequins.

In the men’s game, Harlequins beat Saints 9-0, Craig Windle scoring a treble for the winners.

Dave Jordan was virtually unpassable at the back for Harlequins and Al Balfour was strong in goal for an under-strength Saints. Condamine Sports Club encouragement awards to Don Campbell, Juliet Cronin, Tom Rizzato and Nat Webb.

A full round of junior games were played with the next break in the June/July school holidays.
