THE Bony Mountain Music Festival was more than a camping trip in Warwick; it was a jam-packed weekend showcasing talented musicians.

The festival celebrated country and folk musicians from around the region and gave them the best platform to perform.

Each year a band or singer is presented with the Bony Mountain Music Festival Legends Award.

This year that award was presented to Peter Coad and the Coad Sisters from New South Wales.

The band has toured and performed for the past 35 years together and is known for a variety of music genres, from soft ballads to yodelling.

Its shows often feature drums, guitars, keyboards, fiddles, harmonicas and the family's harmonies.

"This was our third year performing at Bony Mountain," lead singer Peter Coad said.

"They must have thought we were doing a good job,

"It's a great atmosphere here and it's like meeting up with old friends again."
