Leonie cooks up holiday action

TWELVE-year old Leonie Schelbach is having a busy school holidays.

While other kids are throwing on their hats and joggers to head outside and make the most of the weather, Leonie is pulling on her apron and baking to her heart's content.

Last week, the Warwick East student, along with her brother, was outside her home selling some of her baked goods.

"I've got chocolate swirls, vanilla cake, plain muffins and chocolate chip muffins today," she said.

"The chocolate muffins have probably been the best seller."

Her favourite part, she said, was being able to perform the role of taste tester for each batch.

The money made will go towards her school camp at Tallebudgera.
