Southern Downs flavour in focus at Belle Vue Cafe feast
A FEAST of flavours will see the Southern Downs' finest produce shine at the Belle Vue Cafe on Saturday night.
Organised by Cultivating Prosperity, the Feast of Flavours gives Southern Downs foodies the chance to dine on the finest produce from local paddocks.
Belle Vue Cafe chef Mark Favero is a big believer in using local produce.
He'll be cooking up a storm in the kitchen with locally sourced beef, lamb, fruits and vegetables.
"It's a good time of year for local produce. There's lot of local fruits and veggies," he said. "There's plenty of beef around Warwick so we'll have a few beef and lamb dishes."
Among the produce tabled up for the feast will be beef from Picot's Farm, pork belly from Kelvin Falls Family Farm and Tillari Trotters, and potatoes from Mal Smith.
Wines from Ballandean Estate, beer from the Granite Belt Brewery and juice from Suttons Farm will also be served.
The Belle Vue uses locally grown foods where it can, sourcing fresh produce from the farmers' markets.
Stanthorpe Cheese, Boss Meats, Coolmunda Olives, Lirah Vinegar and Clarke's Honey has also supplied fresh produce.
