Lonely Planet gives tick of approval
THE world's largest travel guide book and digital media publisher has given the Clarence Valley its tick of approval in its latest publication.
The company released its East Coast Australia Travel Guide today.
Eight authors traversed 18,000km of coastline – from the Great Barrier Reef to the Great Ocean Road – to research and write this fourth edition of East Coast Australia, which is published in Lonely Planet's new-look, easier-to-read format, featuring more colour photos, clearer maps, and expanded planning tools.
From the laid-back beauty of Angourie to the rugged hinterland of Grafton, the guide extols the unspoilt nature of the attractions the region offers.
It also cautions to look beyond the exterior, such as the franchises on the Pacific Highway at South Grafton, which give no hint of the charms within.
