Losing temper in shop calls for a court date

A KILLARNEY man failed to dial down his temper during a dispute over a phone bill, creating a scene at a local telco shop.

Police were called to a Rose City Shoppingworld retailer on Friday after the 33-year-old was reported to be verbally abusing staff on duty.

According to witnesses the man who was upset about his account proceeded to throw a display stand to the ground during the disturbance.

Officers arrested and charged the man with public nuisance.

He is due to appear in court early next month.

A Sunday drive was more of a Sunday 'trip' for a 26-year-old Brisbane woman who was charged with drug driving along Albion St at 9.30am Sunday morning.

The vehicle the woman was driving was also uninsured and unregistered. She is due to appear in court next month.

A pair of revellers caused a stir at a licensed premises in Yangan on Saturday night.

Before police arrived the pair fled the scene only to be discovered by officers at a Murray's Bridge address.

The 50-year-old woman was charged with drink driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath and the 20-year-old male at the home was arrested for committing public nuisance.

A prowler made a run from Warwick officers when he was seen trespassing on a Clowes St property early Sunday morning.

The 22-year-old male was eventually caught and charged with obstruction of police, failing to follow direction of the police and trespassing.

A 41-year-old Warwick man on bail was spotted in an intoxicated state while walking along Fitzroy St Friday afternoon.

Police aware of the man's bail conditions of no alcohol intercepted him a 1.30pm that afternoon.

After he allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of .116 the offender was charged with breach of bail.
