Lots on for region's junior cricketers
Junior cricket: Saturday, December 3 will be the last cricket day for the year.
Anna Paton and John Butterworth from Queensland Cricket will be guest coaches.
Junior cricketers will play three Saturdays during the school holidays, on January 7, 14 and 21. These days are for hard ball cricketers only.
Milo in2cricketers and our intermediate level players will resume on Saturday, February 11, after the Stanthorpe Show weekend.
Leading coach and former first class and Test cricketer Geoff Dymock OAM will conduct a junior coaching clinic on Friday, December 16. The cost is $30 and the session runs from 9am until 12 noon. This clinic is open to all cricketers aged 6 to 16 not just members of Stanthorpe Junior Cricket.
For more information email info@cogsaustralia. com or stanthorpejunior- cricket@gmail.com.
This Sunday, the club will be host a Stanthorpe v Warwick game.
Stanthorpe's players will be graded into two teams to play the visitors.
We are hoping this will be the start of a great tradition.
It is an opportunity for players to get to know each other as later in the season the best players will form the Southern Downs team to compete in the DDSWQ competition.
