Man claims $2m lotto prize, vows to buy new knees

A CHINCHILLA chap will be jumping for joy after he buys himself two new knees - courtesy of a Gold Lotto windfall.

The lucky Chinchilla business owner won more than $2 million in the Saturday night draw.

"Now I'll be able to afford two new knees when I retire, " the man, in his 60s, said.

"I've needed a double knee replacement for a while now."

It's good news for him and his wife, who may get some peace of mind with the windfall.

"Well, now I'll be retiring," he said.

"The business is driving the wife and I mad so we'll be happy to sell up and stop working."

The man said he had played the same numbers for years including two, six and nine.

"That's because years ago, my clock-in number at a steel works factory was 926," he said.

"I'll never forget that."

A Benowa man also won the division one prize pool.
