Lucky escape for children involved in crash

A MAN is in hospital with abdominal injuries following a crash on the New England Highway late last night.

Officers from the Warwick police station, Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service were called to the crash near the corner with Ranger Rd at about 8.20pm.

The initial reports suggest the vehicle left the road and hit an embankment.

Paramedics assessed two adults and three children at the scene.

They transported one adult male with abdominal injuries and a two other patients with minor injuries to Warwick Hospital.
