Rock your socks off at Maccas for charitable fun
WARWICK McDonald's will be full of fun and action tomorrow to celebrate McHappy Day and raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
The community can show its support by buying, signing and displaying a Helping Hand for $1, picking up a pair of Ronald Socks for $3 or buying a Big Mac.
Two dollars from every Big Mac will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House.
Customers are encouraged to dress up as a movie character as part of this year's theme.
The Warwick Thistle Pipe Band and Central School Choir will perform and children can play on a jumping castle and have their face painted.
A toy raffle will also be set up at the store to help raise funds.
Adults can join in on the fun with a free Zumba lesson.
McHappy Day event manager Cassie Stidolph said the Warwick Maccas crew was excited about the day.
"Everyone is really happy, it's a really family-friendly environment and everyone gets behind it," she said.
"I have a really good team behind me too, which is really good."
The charity's target of more than $3.4 million equates to the equivalent of providing 27,000 nights' accommodation for families at a Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia.
There are 16 Ronald McDonald Houses across Australia and in order to meet the growing need from families, RMHC aims to build or extend five houses and open eight more family rooms within hospitals.
