Macintyre has share of the lead in carnival
RUGBY LEAGUE: Macintyre and Wynnum are equal first in the zone 5 under-35kg rugby league carnival at Millmerran.
Today, Macintyre won both its games under Millmerran-based coach Anthony Sauverain.
Macintyre defeated Cunnamulla 36-4 in the morning and then won 18-4 in the afternoon.
It was also a good day for Central Downs which won its morning game 16-10 against South Burnett and in the middle game of the afternoon program won 42-0 against Balonne Barwon.
Central Downs is in third place under the coaching of Ian Brady.
Tonight, the official carnival dinner was being held in Millmerran with retired State of Origin fullback Colin Scott guest speaker. The carnival finishes tomorrow.
Action next week moves to the U43kg carnival at Lightning Ridge.
