Madsens all back at Freestone for Easter Reunion
EIGHTY members of the Madsen family returned to Freestone on Sunday for a reunion.
Guests came from as far as Brisbane and Nambour.
The oldest relative was Jean Frampton who turns 92 in June.
Many of the people at the reunion were children, grandchildren or great grandchildren of the four Madsen siblings, Doug, Verlie, Ken and Roy.
Verlie married a Madsen, Norm, who was no relation, so her married name did not change.
Two of the uncles of the Siblings were Otto Madsen, the MLA for Warwick after whom the Madsen Bridge is named, and Mick Madsen who was selected in the Queensland Rugby League Team of the Century after starting his career at Tannymorel.
