GOLF: It came down to a play-off on the final hole for the ladies' shoot-out at the Warwick Golf Club yesterday.

Jill Barnes notched up her maiden win in the event, edging out runner-up Michelle Wright on the 18th hole.

Ladies' club captain Annice Payne said both played a beautiful game of golf.

"It was a really good day of golf - the weather was great," she said.

"It was a first-time win for Jill and for poor Michelle it was the third time she's come second."

The first lady off the first hole was Mel McLennan.

Di Evans placed third.
