Making good time at Phillip Island

WARWICK driver Matt Campbell has proved he's a forced to be reckoned with, taking out the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge on Phillip Island at the weekend.

On Saturday Campbell grabbed pole position outright by a nice margin, topping it off by winning his first race of the weekend and lowering the lap record.

The up-and-coming motor racing star upped the ante yesterday, winning the round after another two wins and further lowering his lap record from Saturday's race.

Campbell said he couldn't be happier with the weekend.

"Such a buzz here at Phillip Island - was great to really stretch my legs in the A-class car," he said.

"Can't thank everyone from McElrea Racing enough - also Michael Hovey, Scott Taylor, a few more that don't want to be named and all my family."
