Bouncer 'punched, bitten' in serious assault
AFTER being asked to leave The Malt House about midnight last night, a 47-year-old man allegedly launched a serious attack on a bouncer.
Warwick police said the man was being spoken to by the security guard before he punched him in the throat and then bit him on the arm.
Management at The Malt House reportedly called the police, who arrested the Warwick man.
He was taken to Warwick watch house where he was charged with one count each of serious assault and failing to leave a licensed premises when instructed.
He is scheduled to appear at Warwick Magistrates Court on January 10.
Warwick police said his 46-year-old mate also got involved in the fight and was issued with a public nuisance ticket of $756.
Queensland Ambulance Services attended the scene and the security guard was later transported to Warwick Hospital in a stable condition.
