
Man accused of killing parents relentlessly beaten as child
A TRIAL against a son accused of killing his parents at their property in country Victoria, has heard he and his siblings were relentlessly beaten as children.
David Thomas, 36, is on trial for the brutal murders of Mr Thomas Snr and his wife Pauline at Wangaratta last April.
The Herald reported Mr Thomas' sister Bernadette Cameron had described her father as an abusive disciplinarian who would punish his children with sticks and a belt named "Joey".
Mr Thomas Snr was shot in the heart while Mrs Thomas was strangled.
The trial continues in Melbourne.
