Millmerran murder accused back before court

A MAN charged with the murder of a Millmerran man earlier this year stood quietly beside his solicitor this morning as the charge was mentioned in court.

Kevin Patrick Hanley, 69, is accused of shooting and killing Millmerran man Matthew David Morcus on October 13 this year.

Hanley, who was last week granted bail in Brisbane Supreme Court, walked from the courtroom on the same bail conditions after the brief mention of the matter in the Toowoomba court this morning.

His solicitor Chris Lumme was granted an adjournment for committal set for March 1 next year.

Hanley has not been required to enter a plea to the murder charge.
