A POLICE officer has been airlifted to Bundaberg Hospital after a single-vehicle rollover at Ban Ban Springs.

The 42-year-old travelled in a stable condition with back and neck pains.

It's believed the officer was travelling in the passenger seat of the police car, which rolled several times down an embankment from the southbound lane of the highway.

The rollover happened just before noon on the Burnett Hwy.

There were two people in the car and both were assessed by paramedics on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle received only minor injuries as a result of the rollover and did not require transportation.
