Man arrested - twice

A 59-YEAR-OLD Warwick man allegedly damaged the cell of the Warwick Watchhouse after his arrest at 6am yesterday.

The man first came to the attention of police at 5.30pm Saturday when he was charged with public nuisance near the corner of Albion and Fitzroy Sts and also for possession of a dangerous drug.

At 6am yesterday, the same man was re-arrested near licensed premises and charged with public nuisance, two charges of assaulting police and two of wilful damage to the cell of the Warwick Watchhouse.

He was released on bail at 11am Sunday and will appear in Warwick Magistrates Court on July 11.

In a separate incident a man, 23, who allegedly caused a disturbance in Palmerin St at 11.45am Saturday will also face court.
