Two violent attacks on children within hours

SCHOOL holidays have kicked off violently, with two children taken to Warwick Hospital after separate public attacks.

A teenage boy was allegedly attacked by three men on Grafton St today, while he was shopping with his girlfriend and her mum.

Initial reports suggest the 17-year-old was punched shortly before 12.30pm, just near the Acacia Ave pedestrian crossing.

Paramedics and police attended to the young man, before he was taken to hospital.

Only hours later, a 10-year-old was the victim of a second cowardly attack.

Aldi employees tended to the child after he was assaulted in the Albion St Aldi carpark.

He was taken to Warwick Hospital and the extent of his injuries are unknown.

As of 2.30pm police had not charged anyone for the attacks, and it is unknown if they are connected.
