Man busted drug driving in Goondiwindi

POLICE continue to crack down on drink and drug drivers across the region.

Road Policing Command officers from Goondiwindi police were patrolling in the town when they intercepted a vehicle on Marshall St on January 1.

The driver of the vehicle, a 54-year-old man from Goondiwindi, is alleged to have returned a positive roadside drug test and was subsequently taken to the police station.

Police allege the man then returned another positive test.

Police suspended his driver's licence for 24 hours.
