Firecracker fun time ends with expensive fine

FOUR firecrackers have proven an expensive gift to a Mooloolaba man.

Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard that police searching the house in which Kiel Robert Tengdahl was living on September 17 found a water pipe and electronic grinder, and four firecrackers that he said he had been given as a present and forgotten about.

The 27-year-old scaffolder pleaded guilty to possession of a thing used in commission of a crime.

He also pleaded guilty to being in possession of an explosive. He was fined $400.
