Man to face court for "punching" policeman in face

A FREESTONE man has been charged with being drunk in a public place, obstructing police and assaulting a police officer.

Officer in charge Nathan Burnett said the police came across the 20-year-old man in Madsen Rd just after midnight on Saturday.

Police allege the man punched a police officer in the face.

He is set to face court on Tuesday.
