Man injured by falling tree at Inglewood
A MAN has been airlifted to hospital after a tree felling accident at Whetstone near Inglewood this afternoon.
A Queensland Ambulance Service unit from Inglewood responded to the call at 2pm and the ambulance officer was joined by members of the SES to walk two to three kilometres to the scene with equipment to assist the injured man.
Toowoomba's RACQ CareFlight Rescue flew to the incident at 2.58pm today.
The medical rescue service attended to a 20-year-old male, who sustained a suspected leg injury after the tree he was cutting fell onto him.
RACQ CareFlight Rescue airlifted the man from the scene to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition for further treatment.
